Barter Currencies - BarterCurrencies.com
Not just Gold, Silver, but anything that can have a cash equivalent local or international value and a desire to be possesed and that can be 'Bartered, traded or swapped' can be used as 'Barter Currencies'.
Money for Gold places do not count because they do not usually give even 50% of the spot price value of the different precious metals!
This could be a Website that could list prices paid (or at least what they are going for on the world spot market - and listed in all of the different World Currencies) and current values for the different Precious Metals like $XX.XX per troy oz. for 99.99 Fine Silver; $XXXX.XX per troy oz for 24K Gold; etc.
A list of Materials, Items and other stuff with some cash equivalent values could be listed and updated daily or periodically to be used for rough 'Cash equivalent' transactions depending on both parties agreeing on the transaction!
This would not replace or be equivelant to any monetary currencies out there, it would just be a way to potentially Monetize what a person owns for bartering with others for what they are trying to sell and obviously both parties would have to agree on the deal just like if it was being sold for cash! This concept hopfully would give a somewhat better awareness of what different possessions were worth for bartering purposes throughout the World!
Many Millions of people throughout the world have posessions worth Many $Trillions of dollars in aggregate! If there was some sort of Equivalency 'Barter rate' for the different things like '24K Gold' kind like the current Currency Exchange rate, then it could be Bartered, traded and sold much easier than now!
I saw a local news story showing that selling your gold netted you between <15% and >85% of its Real Intrinsic current spot value depending on where and to whom you sold it to!
I personally know where I can and have sold any type of gold including prospector gold and get a fair market price compared to its current spot price relative to the total % Gold content in it - and it is NOT one of those 'money for gold' places!
This would take some developing but I see some GREAT potential with it.
Thoughts and appraisals, thanks.
