Kinkos is an established business here in the USA. It is nationwide so I bet that is the reason ;).

Federal Express threatened to drop BD from their delivery route if they
didn't release Kinko.com. :-D

I think Kinko.com is a clear example of a TM time bomb.

I don't think that they let it expire still.

Therefore you would figure BD would have a little more knowledge on what they own and such..

BD = www.BuyDomains.com, one of (if not) the largest domain resellers (in amount of domain names).

Luke, we use the abbreviation "BD" because we don't dare to use their name.

Fearing their wrath.

:-D

Kinko.com already at $950. on NameWinner! And it has been at the top of Pool's "Sample of Domains Deleting Today" since yes.!

Strange, putting kinkos in google gets 81,200 results but putting kinko in gets 241,000!? Overture not bad for kinko either: 20,453 (1,255 w/ext.)

Enom got it?

Yes.

And I should apologize for being flippant in my above comment. I was very pleased, as I tried a new algorithm today, which turned out to work much better than my simulations predicted, and evidenced itself in getting that, and a few other domains today. I freely admit that I'm the biggest nerd on the planet, and enjoy this much more than I should.

I agree ele, just its not like BD to let a name with overture drop, regardless of tm issues.

They have microsoft names in their portfolio and many others.

Why let this one go with all that traffic?

Maybe, they had an agreement with Federal Express to let it expire.
By turning it over, they are admitting guilt. By letting it drop. They are
not admitting anything.

Maybe BD got a nasty email from their lawyers? And instead of asking to transfer it, maybe they just ask that it cease from use and they allow it to drop.
Not uncommon, I don't think.
