Hi Everybody,

Just getting started here and searching for a good name to start my business website with. I was curious if it would be better to go with another country extension to keep the word short i.e cars.be or carsconnection.com since the .com's of the name are taken. I'm based in the US if that factors into the equation. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi

as long as you're fine with losing traffic to the .com owner, then any extension will serve the basic purpose.

try real hard though to find a suitable .com domain. perhaps try acronyms for your site if you can't get the exact keywords.

If your site is Geographically oriented, I would recommend the .ccTld domain, otherwise as Biggedon mentioned. go for .com.

If you were in Belgium than perhaps .be might fit better, even then I would have say it depends. Seeing your based in the US, .com is a must.

cars.be will be nice to have since it would be a 5 figures name.
