benz.cc (no TM issues)

if somebody is available i posted more .com names to appraise, look my 2 previous threads.

This is obviously a great name. The extension is weak but the name is "strong" .
$500-$800 name only w/o tm issues.

good luck with their lawyers.

Who's lawyers ?
the only TM i found is Mercedes-Benz(tm) not just Benz.......
check it out ......
do you mean if i own "micro.com" or "soft.com" Microsoft(tm) could sue me ?

Where did you check?

Benz is TMed from last century.
There is Daimler Benz, Mercedes Bens, and, Benz.
Good luck though...

High $XX, the extention isnt great. I agree that it shouldn't really have any TM issues though.

i did check on web..... major search engines....
ops.... do u mean i have to look at some other places ?

You agree that benz should not have TM issues?
:-)

its past midnight here, so I wont do the manual cheking.
Yes, check uspto.gov for the US

without checking I am sure it is TMed.

also, check the EU equivalant.

wonder why the guys from www.benz.com didnt get sued yet.... they own the domain since 14-feb-1995........ and they didnt tm "benz"
maybe i m wrong but.....

they are TMed as well.

were it to come to a head to head between the Benz and Benz oil, I really dont know who would win.
BUT, they are TMed (both) and are in different markets.
your version is a tough one.

Thx for the suggestion, i went to that url, benz-oil (tm) didnt tm "benz" even if they own the benz.com domain......
but maybe u r right, daimler-benz (TM) has a tm on "benz" too, since October 24, 2003

i dont mean to be rude, i am just a newbie.... learning....

no problem click.
I would hope it were not TMed, but it is...
I have regged in the past even worst TMednames, I just didnt know.

It doesn't matter if "Benz" is trademarked, as long as you don't infringe their trademark or try to sell the domain to them etc.

There are lots of Herr and Frau Benz's out there who could use the domain for a personal website or a non-infringing buisness site.

At a quick glance, it doesn't look like the users of benz.com are infringing any trademarks that Daimler-Benz have, as they are in the business of selling oil, not cars.

Just my thoughts.

Thanks, i feel a bit better now 8-) , at least i could find some "Herr Benz" who wants to buy my domain because of the 18965 searches on Overture...
:cheeky:

lol, this is a .CC name people, there is basically no reseller market for this extension and there will never be one...

$20

I don't no about never be one, but currently there isn't a market, and yes I would agree the .cc is pretty weak. Though the cc sure could mean classic car, or something - might help with value. I would say if you get an offer in the high xxx - or low very low x,xxx, you might take a strong look, in the mean time don't get the benz.

cc could mean cubic centimeters (this is the way we measure the engines size in Europe btw)
