good one.
its past midnight here, so I wont do the manual cheking.
Yes, check uspto.gov for the US
without checking I am sure it is TMed.
also, check the EU equivalant.
seeker said:they are TMed as well.
were it to come to a head to head between the Benz and Benz oil, I really dont know who would win.
BUT, they are TMed (both) and are in different markets.
your version is a tough one.
dotNetKing said:It doesn't matter if "Benz" is trademarked, as long as you don't infringe their trademark or try to sell the domain to them etc.
There are lots of Herr and Frau Benz's out there who could use the domain for a personal website or a non-infringing buisness site.
At a quick glance, it doesn't look like the users of benz.com are infringing any trademarks that Daimler-Benz have, as they are in the business of selling oil, not cars.
Just my thoughts.
Nacho said:I don't no about never be one, but currently there isn't a market, and yes I would agree the .cc is pretty weak. Though the cc sure could mean classic car, or something - might help with value. I would say if you get an offer in the high xxx - or low very low x,xxx, you might take a strong look, in the mean time don't get the benz.
