HiOsilver (or Anyone else),
You said DS is great for gambling related domains.
Do you know how are DomainHop's ppc rates for casino/poker/gambling sites?
Please advise,
Thanks,
Rick,
Here are my
highest earning casino/gambling domains, month to date (includes a US holiday weekend, which always depresses visitor numbers and revenue) at DomainSponsor:
CasinoDomain
#1 - 34 visitors, 30 US vis, 12 clicks, $21.66 (rpm = $637)
CasinoDomain
#2 - 85, 69, 54, $18.70 (rpm = $220)
CasinoDomain
#3 - 42, 38, 17, $16.67 (rpm = $397)
CasinoDomain
#4 - 47, 38, 27, $9.25 (rpm = $197)
GamblingDomain
#1 - 2, 0 , 1, $6.77 (rpm = $3385)
CasinoDomain
#5 - 6, 3, 3, $6.59 (rpm = $1098)
I have others, but this gives you an idea of how well they can do with relatively few (unique) visitors and relatively few clicks. Keep in mind that these are all with the improved DS which is not available to everyone yet. A regular DS Premier account would earn about half the revenue.
A DS basic account would earn more like 1/3 the revenue.
Also, keep in mind that not all casino/gambling domains will do this well. These are my top earners. Also, very high rpm's based on a small number of impressions is not very statistacally significant. A lot will depend on how good your domains (and the traffic they generate) are.
Frankly, based on the names that I gave to DomainHop, I do not believe that they could match the above returns. Perhaps DomainHop could in the future, but they are a relatively new service. My best DH results have been with high volume, low value traffic (the opposite of most of my casino/gambling domains).
You might try dividing your domains into 3 groups and trying 3 PPC services out and comparing for yourself. Two things to keep in mind:
1. DomainSponsor requires 3 to 4 weeks to fully optimize
2. You need at least a month of data (after optimization) to be able to draw meaningful conclusions about any PPC service.
Finally, if you have a blockbuster domain, say TexasHoldem.com or USCasino.com, you should develop it and forget PPC, unless you are just too busy.
