I need a shopping system for my fashion shop. Can someone help me out with a good one.

I have been looking at x-cart.com and it looks really good, what do you think?
It costs $185

+ i can get an affiliate add-on for $95 if i want

I can custom make you one for a few thousand swedish crowns (around 5000) if you are interested. I have amongst others, designed a few intranet-systems (both design and code) for educational establishments here in Sweden.

You might want to try osCommerce (www.osCommerce.com). It's a fully-functional, open source e-commerce tool. I havn't tried it myself yet, but it looks good, and it's free :) .

OSCommerce is a popular choice and there are many mods as well as skins for it.

OSCommerce all the way.. completely free and better than alot of the scripts you have to pay for. Lots of support forums also.

OSC for sure. I have multiple sites running this. It's easily a $5000 commerce package for free. Try to use OSC-Max which has some additional contributions already loaded.

If you have cpanel, you may already have it available for free and it will install itself in your webhosting. In my hosting package it is already there, you may be able to find it under fantastico

Never install scripts from fantastico/application vault. Lots of bugs and hard to customize. Always better to install manually.

Yesterday, I was going to add another "OSC" recommendation, but I saw you were going to use X-Cart. Take a look at OSCommerce - very powerful and free!

I am also looking for a powerful cart, the problem I have found with both OScommerce and x-cart is if you want to run multiple websites, you cannot have your own return path for each site and you cannot have your own payment processor for each site. This is important if you run an affiliate program and need to track affiliate sales to each website individually, or if you plan to offer cart service to your customers.
