Hi, there is a domain I am interested in buying. The site is not developed or anything (i think it is just 'parked'). I do not know if it is for sale, or not.

What is the best way to make an offer? I hear that sedo has service where they get in touch with owner and present my offer...?

any other options?

Call the owner directly. Be honest about your intentions. Be prepared to pay the domain's worth. Some owners negotiate, others refuse to sell outright. Others, will ask for earth and water in exchange. Good luck.

Search the database of sedo, afternic, tdnam and see if the domain is listed for sale.. if yes, then place a bid and wait for counter offer...

otherwise, Acroplex is right.. contact the buyer directly using the who is info for email or phone #.

Word of advice. Don't low ball as they may get curious and ask others for appraisals and end up selling it for much higher.

Research, research, research. If you have a portfolio, open an account where the name you like is parked. Establish a repoire with your rep and have him make contact on your behalf. etc. Just be SMART!

If you made an offer, and it was accepted, case closed. Congratulations.
Call the seller to see if he wants payment via paypal.

i made the high offer after a few prior attempts without reply. Filled out the form on the site, and on note section, i wrote " please contact me to negotiate!"

actually, I wrote the same message after each prior offer too.

I think he wins on technicality, but my intention was clearly to get his reply.

I'll purchase the name since it's only in the low xxx , but i still think i'm overpaying!

ps: this was not the same name I had my eyes on when posting this.

I'm surely taking any of my xxxx purchases more seriously than a low xxx
