Fellow DNF'ers ...

I'm trying to launch (I know, huge market out there) a small drop-catching service at ExpiredFinder.com and wanted to get a few of you here to possibly test it out.

This will be run like a lot of the drop clubs in the sense that I will only take names that are supposed to expired within 2 days or less and only one person (no bidding like NameWinner) will have dibs on each name.

During beta testing the payments will be done via PayPal with the actual payment not being accepted until the domain name is registered. If the name does not get registered, the request will be cancelled and no money will exchange hands. If the name goes through, then the funds will be accepted and the domain name transferred into your ENOM account. The cost will be $9.95 per name and the funds would have to be sent prior to the drop catching process. But as stated before, payments will not be finalized until after the name is successfully caught.

During this testing process I will be only going for 10 names myself to test out the system and I'm looking for some outside people to try this service out. At no time will more than 50 names be attempted to be registered to allow for requests to be sent at the rate one in a little under a second.

If you are interested, please email me at [email protected] or PM me here.

More information ... The service uses ENOM's API, meaning no direct agreement is made with any registrar. Since there is no direct agreement made with any registrar it limits our checking at ENOM to the maximum 1000 checks per day. It is because of this that I will be limiting the BETA TESTING drop catching to three outside people with a maximum of 2 names per person.

If you need any more information, please feel free to PM ME or email me at [email protected]. I go after names on a daily basis now and thought that I'd offer out my service to other people because I'm usually after only a couple names a day and have room to add other names.

As for the payment upfront, PayPal has been my way to go for all my online purchases and sales and the reason I want to use them is because people can send a payment via PayPal and have it pending until the person on the other end accepts it. I would be only accepting the payment once a name is successfully registered, otherwise I would cancel the payment request. But, as this is in BETA TESTING I would be willing to offer the service without the upfront payment to users so that the success rate of my service can be tested. So anyone that is interested, please EMAIL ME at [email protected] with:

a) up to 2 domain names that you want to go after that are going to expired on April 25 or 26

b) your enom name to push the names into once registered

Deadline for names for the April 25 drop will be midnight tonight (April 24).

Catcher ...

You are correct ... I don't go after the higher-profile names for myself, but if users wanted to give it a try, i thought what's the harm at letting others give it a go. I'm usually after the lesser known drops that I see development potential in, but others might not.

But I do know that my chances of catching say "mixer.com" less than .00000000001%, but it doesn't hurt to try :)

Adios ... Scott
