Hi all,

I'd like some people to test out a new software that I'm developing right now.

You can read all about the s/w at http://www.Hyperoptin.com

The beta version is available at

http://www.hyperoptin.com/HyperOptin.zip

I'd appreciate some feedback on how the deom worked for you, what you thought of it, any bugs you found etc.

Please email feedback to [email protected]

Thank you all in advance for testing this demo version.

Have a great day!

Hi,
I like the software. But it encrypts the generated code and then thus adds about 50 Kilobits (and about 8 secs loading time for a 56K connection, and approx. 3 secs for a 128K connection) to the page, according to Dreamweaver anyway.

Oh, and your link on the 'About HyperOptin' screen doesn't work yet, not in the beta I have anyway.

Hey, and who wrote the sales-copy on your HyperOptin page? I like it, but maybe it is a bit too 'over the top' here and there.

Best of luck!

Hi beshopalula,

Thanks for checking out the demo. Yes it does add a few seconds overhead but I've tried to minimize this by offloading the JavaScript to an external JS file. I uploaded this version two days ago.

The links aren't active in the demo yet.

I wrote the sales copy :) But it's only a teaser. The real one gives specific details and is more toned down. This is just to stir up some interest for the pre-launch. 550 email addresses in 20 days isn't bad huh? lol

Thanks once again for your feedback beshopalula. I appreciate it very much indeed.

Have a good one!

What will HyperOptin.msi install exactly on my hard drive? willl it create registry entries?

With all due respect, I am slightly reluctant to run an unkown to me program esp. if the file name implies that I may be HyperOpt-in to something.. Plus, you say this is brand new, unknown method/system so I hope its ethical. Can you tell me more?

I would be interested in some more info as well, before installing a mystery-program on my computer.

Sure i can tell you more.

The HypeOptin system that you install on your computer is simply a software program that creates PopThroughs. This is a brand of pop ups that have two buttons. OK and CANCEL. The idea is that when you put this up on your website thei visitors will see this and the popthrough can read something like

"To get the latest domain name industry news, click OK and you'll receive information via email"

So when they click ok, an email is auto generated BUT NOT SENT. They have to send it themselves. That's why this is NOT spam. They do it with their consent.

THAT'S the Optin part. You give your site visitors a method to Opt In to your list, auto responder etc.

The pop throughs are also a viral marketing system. Don't be alarmed by the word VIRAL. That means that the power of the system is in the fact that it can be given away for free. So it spreads like a virus.

So why give it away for free? You receive a branding utility that lets you BRAND your pop through generator with 4 peices of information.

1) A sponsore Text
2) A Sponsore URL that's the destination for the sponsore text
3) A URL for "Visit my webpage" located in the generator's main menu
4) An email signature text

Here's how these work

Each pop through will have a sponsore message right below the OK and Cancel buttons. When you brand your generator you can specify this text and the URL to be what ever you want.

When someone pressed the OK button, I said an email is auto generated. The email body is prefilled with your EMAIL Signature Text.

Plus the generator's main menu has an item called Visit Recommended Website, which will send people to your website.

So one you brand your generator with this information you can give the generator away for free

Every pop through that's generated through your branded generator will have YOUR information (sponsore text, email sig etc) on it - resulting in traffic to your websites.

It's similar to a brandable ebook. But the MEANS of the system is the pop throughs themselves, rather than an ebook.

I hope this helped.

Hmm, don't think, folks, that I naively install just any program... ;)
Plus, when I do give something a try, immediatly after install scan my HD with some 'pest-control'-type progs (Ad-Aware, etc.) and I also often 'roll back' my system after to what it was like before the install when I am done with the checking out/testing.

KayDee's software is still installed, though (the latest version, with the .js file). :)

This is a "ralated offer" post so I should make clear that my intent was not to tear apart the fellow poster's offer!

I am sure the code is safe and not intended to harm the installer's computer in any way. Its purpose is to create the pop-ups for you and I hope it contains inteself form spreading any peripheral (to its main purpose) nuisance.

The package author seems to have covered the ethical concern with his answer.

I will not comment further after this post.

Ad-Aware wouldn't catch it if it is brand new and you are one of the first to beta test it, would it? :) :) (unless it contains known routines of course).

Rolling the system back is a great idea and a great habit Beshopalula! Of course you have all bases covered. I didn't imply otherwise. :)

I did not get the feeling you were trying to tear anything apart, TrafficMonsterRRR, no worries. :)

As for "Ad-Aware wouldn't catch it", well, no, maybe not, but that's where the roll-back comes in handy. Plus, I use more than one prog. to check for spy-ware/pests.

Anyway, folks, if you haven't done so yet, may I indeed recommend that you do indeed give HyperOptin (or is it now renamed to 'HypeOptin'? As in KayDee's own spelling in his previous post. Freud ;) and all that?!) a try!

Cheers!

Thanks beshopalula for pointing out that typo! lol it is indeed HyperOptin lol

Thanks trafficmonster for your comments too. They are well founded and you have all the right to question the ethics etc. I didn't take it the wrong way at all :) I appreciate ANY feedback cos it helps to get everything ironed out.

Take care now.
