I have just initiated an auction on Sedo for the domain Bets.mobi

The reserve price is $7500. As Sedo recently sold gamble.mobi for $33K I expect this reserve to be made easily. The current highest bid is $3001 Almost a week to go yet.

Do you think you will get as good a price through Sedo as you would if it was through a TRAFFIC auction?

He's got a point. If I were you I would say to hell with Sedo and try to get this name into TRAFFIC. Just my 2 cents

Oops, typo edited, that is what happens when you sold .info domains for many years. Thanks for pointing it out.

This domain was originally claimed by someone else in the Sunrise. dotMobi checked some of the sunrise registrations. This one failed, and was released on 30 november, where I picked it up.

I have a large portfolio with absolute top .mobi's. I will certainly have some in the next Traffic auction, but I decided to spread my bets so to say.

I also have some of them going at the Internext auction next week:
chatbox.mobi
girls.mobi
nudism.mobi

I guess I'd better start a separate thread about those.

The auction has about 24 hours to run yet, the max bid at the moment is $4,500

It was just announced that Sportsbook.mobi was sold for $129,800 (I guess that was 100,000 euro). In my opinion Bets.mobi would be a much better name, if only because it is so much shorter which is important for mobi domains.

Let's see what the next 24 hours bring. If you haven't put in your offer yet this is your chance!

a steal imo (compared to other recent sales) ...but still alot of bread for a dot mobi, or any speculative "who knows what will be" domain for that matter!

seems like a reasonable price for right now but with gamble.mobi selling for 33k its prolly kinda sad to watch it go that low..

thats what happens when the bubble starts to burst k:
bet.mobi is what someone will pay the big bucks for... "bets" is'nt really the right usage imo ...and also this may have gotten sold waaay too early with not enough PR to bring in bigger bidders...

I would have guessed it would pull at least 10-15k though either way..buyer should be able to resell for double, unless the seller gets "lucky" and they back out! lol

you are spot on, buyer should have got sedo brokers to work for dosh & approach endusers & let them know it was on auction.
still, money in the bank for a $60 outlay. not bad

bet is obviously a xxx,xxx domain. however i'm guessing it was reserved?

Bet.mobi has been taken in the Sunrise with an invalid TM (they claim to have a TM for "Deck bet") but as usual registries are not too worried about this.

they told me they will NOT be doing anymore random audits and the only way to challege them now is through the standard UDRP
