I have had a long term account at Enom with MANY domains
in my account there. Since "Demand Media" bought Enom
it has gone downhill fast. First off the person who bought
Enom was one of the largest domainers around.

Enom has turned into a "Domainer" rather than a registrar

BEWARE of your domain expiration dates. It used to be that
you had 60 days to renew your domain name before the renewal
price jumped to the "RGP" price they set at $160.00. Now
they run algorithyms when a domain expires and if the domain
has some type of "Value" they jump to the $160.00 price at
day 31 after expiration. Not only that almost every other
registrar charges about HALF the increased "RGP" renewal fee

Their tech support has to be the worst out there, even though
you can get through to them right away. I highly suggested that
people use Enom for about 7 years now but I would not ever use
them again and I am moving every domain I have with them to GoDaddy.

Watch your domains....:upset:

Totally biased statements. It was never 60 days past expiration and I have a reseller account. It was 20 days - 30 max. A true domainer takes care of their domains BEFORE they expire, why would you complain when you didn't take care of that?

Another inaccurate statement: RGP price has not increased. Comparable prices at other registrars are NOT half of that, they are between $120 to $150. Again, if you are a serious, professional domainer you DON'T let valuable domains slip into expiration. eNom provides you with all the tools to do that (search, sort by expiration date & renewal reminder emails).

Also, eNom's support has been stellar, including via phone and email AND during weekends.
