I also read that the "C" was from the name of an other financial holding called "Carlile" or something like that. I'll try to find it again.

I'm thinking "he" (BGC3) will target the imminent expansion in "green tech" and energy.... Solar, Wind, tidal and kinetic energies technology as his next magic carpet ride. Great timing with all the incentives from "BigBro" and funding form "BigBiz" make the sector politically correct as well as stands to leap and bound at any time.

It's a "feel good" thing and a "do good" thing so .... I could see a man like Gates, with all the money in the world, targeting or supporting "green" tech development. That being said ... I'm sure ...

I admit to thinking less is more probably more often than not, but IMO that's a weak choice of colors and they probably could have made it a little less cheap looking at least. Hell, off the top of my head I can think of a better looking variation that would be considerably more ingenious, use better colors, and possibly even tie in with green/the earth if that's the angle of investment they were looking to do. Here's a verrry crude version of what I was thinking. That took 10 minutes and done by someone with no formal graphics training.

Interesting, not sure why he would create a new company though to do this. As it seems he wants to keep it seperate from Microsoft in doing this.
