Red Hot area of interest on the internet. "Bloggers" returns over a quarter of a million pages on Google already, even though it is a relatively new word. Thinking of making it a central clearing house on how-to get started with your own blogs, resources, etc.
Just got it with a Snap.

Its a great name, blogs arent so commercial so the .org fits well.

Given that, i'm not sure who'd you would sell it for for $####'s but I will buy it right now for a couple hundred :)

i think you should sell this one while the term is still hot. The term 'blog' may go out of style as things often do on the internet. Time is not always on your side.

I bet "paytosurf.com" was worth a lot more 3 years ago than it is today.

I have an interest in developing this name since it is media related (my specialty). However, if someone would like it for $599, I would sell it, otherwise I will hold onto it and use it myself.

The terms blogging, blogger, bloggers, blog aren't going anywhere anytime soon! Google (huge) just bought a popular blog site. The "big" players on the net always make sure they get their money's worth. I do see blogging "evolving" though. Wireless products, school-tools, etc... note: Blogs are very "search-engine friendly...won't be long till people realize that ;)

The .org actually adds to the name as someone suggested it has that "noncommerical-groupiness" feel to it. The singular "Blogger" would have been best, but the plural isn't that bad either.

$599?? If wasn't so stingy I might even buy it at that...

At some point I sold SecretBlog/SecretBlogs.com - am I glad I didn't jump on the blog bandwagon full force. Too many in the game right now.

IMO, the .ORG is good for a non-commercial "underground" blog. But who will pay $$$ to buy it?

Realistically, you might get $100 for it.

I dont personally love the name, but that's fine, because I know about 500 people who would love the name!

So I will say $100-$200

but Duke, dont worry, because you will get much more, maybe 5 times that much at final sale, good luck

Let's use some common sense people. I've already been offered $200 by a RESELLER in THIS thread (who confirmed his offer by PM)! I have also had an offer from an experienced developer to completely develop and run the site for me in return for a share of the domain...and I haven't even had the domain for 12 hours. Blogging is huge - Google did not fork over major money for blogger.com because there was no market there.

Very nice domain. Hard to put a fixed price on it since the potential is limitless.

I think you are right Toasty. Upon furthur thought (and additional offers by PM) I am withdrawing the $599 offer to sell. I want to explore this one a little furthur and may accept the guy's offer to develop this domain. Thanks for your input everyone!

I think that you are right to take the offer off the table. This is a great domain and a perfect use of the .org TLD, which coming from you is no surprise. I know it's none of my business, but if/when you do sell the name, I would love to know for how much :D

Great name, enjoy developing it!

Looks like you're right Unused. RJ just pointed me to this news story about venture capitalists pouring money into sites for bloggers:

With what I've been hearing from people since I got this name I 've decided if I can't get four figures I'll keep it and develop it.

good idea, as I said, you might be able to get a bunch for it, not my cup of tea, but I will agree it could be worth 4 figures to the right buyer!

Just to update you on this name - I received an offer of $500 today and turned it down. I still think it would be smarter to develop it than sell it for less than 1K.

Don't you love it when you can do that... You'll thank yourself later when someone offers you quite a bit for it.
