I just saw the post on another forum about how
Blogster was Sold for $100,000 in ebay, And this is what a buyer said
"When we bought the site, it was really the domain name we purchased. We bought the site on an ebay auction if you can believe that. The site had to sit on the previous owner's servers for 2 months until we had our re-write done and then we re-launched with the better code and better hosting platform. We think we have a good buy and our focus is on creating quality content, fostering community and driving revenue"

And everyone there believe the buyer got a great deal, which I agree

continuation of 2005, any 'community' type site that
keeps people coming back and interacting with
each other, so that the community 'creates' the
content - perfect example being MySpace.
I think 2006 will be a three way battle between Google,
Microsoft and Yahoo - each trying to be big in search
but also offer more content and applications to keep
people coming back. The internet is changing so fast,
and technology improves so fast allowing people to do
more online - look for more unique sites and launches
like never before.
