Blond is not a mis-spelling, it's the male version of "blonde". In other words, a dude is blond and a chick is blonde. Blonde jokes usually revolve around blonde chicks; I have yet to see a blond joke; that is, a joke about a guy who's blond.

Mid $xx to low $xxx.

Have any other domainers come across this male/female division before as well, because I'm not aware of it at all? Is there any evidence for it? It doesn't bear up according to Dictionary.com or Merriam Webster's, so if anyone has seen any mainstream support for it online I'd be interested in seeing the links. Here's Dictionary.com's: http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=blond. Here's a reference to "blond jokes" on page 1 of Google as well: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=blond&btnG=Google+Search.

Notwithstanding the existence of "blonde" and its SE numbers, with dictionary data and SE numbers like the above for "blond," $xx/$xxx would certainly be extraordinarily low for a name like this. Clearly a large number of people use the "blond" variation which is also listed as the primary dictionary word among the sites linked to here.

Check this out, too (at the $100,000 level): http://www.multireg.com/article494.html. If it's true, it certainly bears mentioning. Any different points of view on this one, or relevant facts? Thanks...

Well, since this is .us and not .co.uk, you might want to check the American English link on the page you just linked to. :)

LOL

Sorry mate (or is it "dude" in the US). I was raised with proper English as my education; nowadays I have a drawl but I can only blame the South for it.

I find it odd that you own SingleEuropeans.com since you are in Philly. And that other post about Boricua etc. You really need to research your market better.

I'm thankful that I was, too, so at least we have that in common.

Sounds good to me - southern drawl, that is. What a country.

Entrepreneurs, publishers and domainers are we; your surprise surprises me.

Covered that in the thread, where I also saw your last reply. I, too, have not been living under a rock, and there is a favorable balance on the matter to be found (in favor of my position and the quality of the urls, of course).

So with the apparent $100,000 history of blond.com, 3.26 million Google/47.1 million Yahoo, and the primary dictionary word for American English, surely there must be a number of domainers out there that have a very different view on this one, especially those who believe in the potential of .us. It would be a treat to hear some positive alternative points of view, so don't be bashful...

I sold blondish.com for low $xxx some time ago, so I doubt the .us would bring more than that.

Excuse me?

This is an open thread about appraisals.

From my understanding, all you've done is make desperate statements attempting to somehow indicate that the domain is worth some unrealistic figure.

Appraisals are to be made with an objective focus. If all you want is a PR, use the Advertising forum.
