BMW is trademarked and 99.99998 percent of the visitors who type in BMWStores.com will be looking for stores that sell BMW (cars). They are not going to be looking for something you dream up, because another company has already spent Billions of dollars in genearting goodwill for their long-standing company, BMW Motors.

The same is true for something like WalMartStores.com. And what do you know...that domain is owned by Wal-Mart. And further, BMWStore.com is owned by BMW.

I just don't see how some of you think you hold rightful claim to these type of domains just because you may have been able to register them or purchase them from someone.

Get rid of it?

Very good summary. What hafta remember is this is just a hobby. Of course I was excited when I could pay 8.95 at Godaddy and register bmwstores.com!!

What's 9.00 dollars???? I figured it would be kinda cool to own bmwstores.com.

This is my third bmw 325i, so I am a very loyal fan/customer of the company. It all came about by me just searching anything available bmw domains. I now know have read what trademarks and copyrights mean.

So If Bmw comes knocking, i'll politely give it up.:welcome: The site is not developed. It's just parked.

I also own newbimmer.com, new325i.com. Any trademark issues with these??

So how do i 'get rid of' bmwstores.com? Should I contact bmw? Should i just continue to park it??
