can you guys help me out and give me an idea how much I should sell boba.mobi for?

I've gotten an offer on sedo for $300 originally and I was able to push it up to $400.

I would say that is a pretty nice offer for the current market. I have several mobis of that sort and have not even gotten low ball offers on them at Sedo.

Of course there is future appreciation to consider - boba is a great CVCV and if .mobi takes off you are gonna wish you held on to it. But that is a big "if" and if you can use tha money now .... might be quite a while before you see that kind of offer again.

thank you for your input accent...i'm not really in need of the money now but i'm just a little skeptical right now of mobi because of iphone and the advancement on mobile phones it seems like people can just go to .coms rather than .mobis...but then again i just dont want to make the mistake of losing a winner....

man i shake my head everytime i think about selling off facebok.com too early :(

The quandry of domaining.

This forum is the most negative of any on mobi - I can see why you are concerned. There is another focused only on .Mobi. Google "Mobi forum" (starts with "M") or PM me, I do not know if I can put another Forum's name here.

Mobi is a long term investment, the flippers have given up. Old time domainers see it as a threat to their .coms and in general do not like change.

Most "experts" predict a huge growth in the mobile web as soon as the cost comes down and devices improve. Nothing is certain, but a bet on the mobile web has very good odds. There are three ways to invest in mobile:

Domains in any extension that would be in demand for the type of uses that would be popular. Maybe I am too old to have a grasp of this, I keep drawing a blank beyond the obvious: hotels. taxis, email ...

Short domains in .com - a great double dip because they are in demand for the PC internet and short domains are even more important in Mobile because as keyboards shrink errors increase.

Mobi is the only extension that tells the user that the website is intended for use by people away from home, or for quick information. (.tel is something else entirely) So regardless of the tech, mobi means mobile. All that is needed for that connection to take hold is adoption by some big companies to spread the word. That is happening, slower than some would prefer, but more than any other new extension. The dotmobi promoters are actively encouraging development.

Hold out for the moon! (joke)

Funny, I have spent months in India, years in Nepal (Nepali words are about half Hindi) - Nobody has ever taught me the "interesting" words. A very conservative sub-continent, in some ways.
