I think that you should just give it to the guy that owns Bored.com

Try to think of an "ORGINIAL ' way to make money rather than copyright infrigment

Wasn't really planning on selling - but developing. Just thought I'd ask though, as I do for some new registrations.

However, "Bored" is a common word. There is not a trademark for it in the USPTO trademark database.

You would be referring to a Trademark. Copyright would be if he copied his entire site and pasted it under another name. Bored is a word, I doubt Eric has a Trademark on the name or that it could even be trademarked. A lot of people have "bored" sites. About 75% of the names out there are not orginial. It is what you put on your site that is original.

I did see this name available the other day, but due to Bored.com I didn't want to register it. I wouldn't mind purchasing Bored.com if it was ever for sale just to own the name. I wouldn't mind what revenue it generates. I think the .ws is weak and therefore makes the name less of value. I would stick it on eBay and make a few bucks from it. Otherwise, most people already know of Bored.com and will likely time is a .com or .net than .ws

True.

Common words are not trademarkable.

Will try to find something unique to develop it into, if I am unable, chances are that I will let the owner of bored.com have it for free.

Hello,
You will be lucky if you just sell it to bored.com owner. I have the same case as I own Hyundai.ws and I tried to contact Hyundai to sell them the domain but it seems that they don't care about the .ws (by the way they don't own the .net too)
Regards
