Hi,
it has been the hardest work to get this domain!
A nightmare from start to finish. Tell you more another time!
Here's a few facts for you:

Capital of Brazil : Brasilia
Brazil Population: 186 million
Largest country in South America
Brasilia population approx 2.5 million

Sao Paolo & Rio De Janeiro dwarf Brasilia in sheer population though like some other countries with their capitals as it is in the centre of the country & is historically not that old.

Much big business & Government etc is situated though at Brasilia, & the chicks are hot everywhere in Brazil!

I love this domain & have high hopes for it. What do you think?
There is a big coffee manufacturer who is called Brasilia too & they have a few of the domains which makes it harder to acquire a Brasilia domain.
There is no TM danger as it is obviously a generic GEO term & that is how i plan to develop in time. Too much on at mo though.
Appraisals & enduser valuations most welcome.
cheers, Predator

Brasilia

A very modern built city in the middle of nowhere, just for the purpose building a new capital city. I visited Brasilia about 20 years ago, and everything seemed very exagerated. At that time the population of Brasilia was much lower, and I found it was the only Brasilian city that no Brasilian flair whatsoever. That has probably changed now with the increase of population.

However, a very nice Domain

Congratulations

As for value:
A city name dot info is normally preety valuable.
Brasilia though would be less valuable than most other cities of its size and importance, because it is not really attractive for Tourism. If you just compare the overture results with other cities you will see what I mean.

I feel something like low x.xxx might be possible.
But I'm sure you would be expecting more.

Good luck

Hi,
thanks. Cool! You've been there!
One day (when my daughter is grown up) i would love to travel around Brazil. (prefer Brasil, cooler!)
It looks an amazing country with amazing people. I agree Brasilia looks as dull as hell & was basically 'planned' which isn't ideal.
One exception ....Paris. The most beautiful City on Earth in my opinion. And i've been to some.
The exciting thing for me is, despite it looking dull is that it is the CAPITAL & the population is growing...quick. The Brazilians are good at that!
Also there is billions of $ going through it also. Being the Capital it has Businessman, internal & external needing Hotels, info, Shopping etc
Tourists. Lots of potential. Plus only need one proud, rich native Brasilian who fancies it!
It's one i probably won't develop, I don't know. I've got soo many to do, like we all have. It's so rare they come up I'll prob feature on Sedo or Ebay.

The potential for Flights.Brasilia.info
Hotels.Brasilia.info
etc. is where it's at.
What would anyone else do?
Cheers, Predator
NB: thanks again for your comments, always welcomed :bolt:

Brazil is certaily a fascinating country, with fascinating people. We travelled aroung for quite a few weeks visiting most important cities. Rio and Sao Paulo are absolutely unique. Manaos and the Amazonas are a true adventure, and most small villages are absolutely charming. But, as I said before, this was 20 years ago.

Back to the Domain
Developing ist certainly the best way to pick up revenue and value for the domain. If I were you, I would park it first and see what traffic it produces.

Thanks very much for advice. Sounds like you had an amazing time.
Travelling around South america is in my Top Three things to do before i die!
I have just parked it. Don't hold out too much for rev. on .info's as don't get much type in. They do soar up the search rankings when developed though.
Good thing is theres very little competition. The .com & .net are out of the picture. Theres a couple of gov. sites & a infobrasilia.com site LOL
Going anywhere nice again soon?

I decided to do that kind of thing at a younger age.
My wife (girlfriend at that time) and I took a year off, and travelled all of South America visiting 12 counties. Oh yes, those were the days.

Now I can't. Now I have to sit at my laptop and sell domains

Any enduser price estimates Guys?
Have had a little interest & need to know some guides. Any comparables?
Seen US cities sell. But this is obviously not US (downside in terms of price) is CAPITAL of a HUGE country (upside)
I have an idea but feel it is a broad range. Hard to pin down.
I need your opinions to gauge better. As ever, thanks

As I said above, based on the relatively low Overture, and the lack of interest within the tourism trade, I can't imagine any more than low x.xxx

Good luck

IMO you are looking for low- to mid-$$$$ for the right end user. As said above tourism is probably limited and interest in this city is probably limited as well. Still a nice name though.
