as I have had an approach in the UK to buy it.
Bridging loans are used quite a lot in the UK and Australia - the non hyphenated version of the name is not currently used but has a For Sale page.
164,000 Google pages without extension and a full set of eight sponsored links. 1524 searches on Overture for "bridging loan". Net and Info versions of this name also taken.
