I heard that some ppl just register a bunch of domains, park them, see if there is any traffic and if there is none, they cancel them after 3-4 days. This seems as a quite attractive way of not wasting money. Would recommend this? What host would you suggest for this? GoDaddy?
 
Godaddy does not offer this.
 
Many of the registrars that do offer this service also charge upwards to a dollar for each name you delete. As low as 25 cents per if you already own a certain number of domains (more than 500)

I'd be very careful heading down this path if you aren't exactly sure what you're doing.
