Hi namefox, in my view the hyphen (-) together with the incorrect three "s":es kills the domain name. The normal way to put these two words together would be to have it read "businesstartup".

Hi Toby. According to Answers.com and Wikipedia, start-up is the correct way to spell it. Now I am sure there is a difference between American and English spelling though. I have seen it both ways; startup and start-up. According to Overture, 3538 searches for "business startup" and 9049 searches for "business start up".
Also, when you do a spell check on Outlook for startup, it says start-up is the correct spelling. Very similiar to home based business or home-based business. Anyone else want to chime in with their thoughts?

Even if it is the correct way to spell it, for a domain name, you don't want the hyphen. That, and .info, not a good combo.

Thanks GD. Appreciate your thoughts. It is certainly not my best purchase but I have had really good results with developing hyphenated domains. I'm not really a reseller but more of a buyer/developer. I know it won't get any type-ins (type ins) but once it is developed into a little mini informational site, I am sure it will bring in some revenue. Thanks again.

I have no problem with breaking up the term "startup" into "start-up".
However I do think the correct way to put together this domain name would have been Businesstart-up.info (with only two "s" in the middle.
Your point about having this as a developed site (and not just relying on type-ins) make sense.

Business-start-up.info would be the best option if you were developing a site but on their own, neither of the domains are worth more than reg fee.
