Kudos to the thread originator for taking in good spirit a couple of non-cerebral negative appraisals. It appears to me to be a strong key word combination, and a Dot Com. Yes, the sensibility is important, but more important is its brandability and memorability. A quick layman's check of the TM shows it's a flip of a weak TM, as BonusBuy.com has nothing to do with name itself or the TM. This could be an interesting thread for the legal discussion board. A quick check of flips shows that BuyBest.com, ShackRadio.com, and DepotHome.com are held by individuals; this may indicate that this may be safe ground. Will look good in the search engine listings. Develop the concept, create a website, and register it with the search engines. A higher marketability index rating will increase it's value.

Thanks domains for your well-thought-out response.

I feel that BuyBonus.com is workable so long as you conceptualize the "bonus" part properly. I registered it a bit earlier on, when I was a bit more register-happy. Yet even now I would be tempted to register it for the $9 and take a chance.

I don't mind getting negative appraisals if they are done in good faith. I kind of amuse myself with it sometimes. For example, I see Dr. Who as one of the toughest here. Basically I know that if I can get by him (ie. get a good appraisal) I'm sailing for sure.

Kudos to mudfence for developing a systematic approach to domain appraisals. I have posted domains on this appraisal board for which I've already received 3-figure offers, only to see $0 thumbs down to low 2-figure valuations. I've posted some of the research avenues I take to find some value or use for a domain, even if at first it looks like junk. I'm all for a well-crafted, politely-negative appraisal, if, after all research avenues have turned up a TM violation or other problem, and hence no opportunities for E-Business. Then maybe people will stop registering junk, which only lines the pockets of fat cat registrars.
