Dealing with BD has consistently been a pain in the ass for me.

Some time back I met a BD rep at a conference, he sent me list of Adult names for sale, crappy hit stats and no rev. stats, plus they wanted insane amounts per name and wouldn't negotiate much.

Now they sent out the firesale list, so as soon as it came out I tried to grab a few names, but they were gone or so popular that BD wanted to increase the price!

I finally found one nice name I wanted and went through the whole process to buy it, and yesterday my $52 is refunded. Arghhhh.

I bought one great name for $50...and then tried for another on the list. When I told them the name...they said it was a mistake and should not have been on the list...and the second name would be full price...

I received a confirmation on my first order, but still have not received the domain...it's been about 24hrs. I hope I do not get a return of payment.

THey said ok you got the names we will send you log in info in 48 business hours that's a joke Got another one today though I am not into adult but htere are some great adult names imo. They would need to be developed a little but great keywords.

007 you made a great point I was looking for a domain and on the phone they were like its first come first served so I thought I missed on one name but they put it up again and I got it. That is not cool though to tell someone you got it, oh nevermind someone else bought online while we were on the phone
They screwed me on Island Casino.net but then I ended up getting Nevada POKER.net which they first had domain must be appraised. Picked up NaughtyGift.com today good ecomm name IMO and naughty is not porn so it can play anywhere IMO.

I don't sit on BD and search for domains, but when I go check to see who owns a domain I want and it happens to be them, I know I am going to have to play hardball most of the time. BIN prices on BD are for suckers.

Funny you should mention that.

Two weeks ago I made a pretty good offer on one of the names listed on their adult spreadsheet and then they turned around and said it wasn't an adult name and increased the price on their site from $2500 to $4000 and told me it was available for $4000. Someone else picked it up for $50 once the afternic plug got sent out.


So my only guess is this firesale is to pay for all the crack they smoke over there.

Well, clearly they are selling all of the Adult and Gambling names because they are hoping to sell their portfolio to a big (mainstream) player. Maybe they already have a deal in the works.

My guess is that they started out with way high prices, then finally paniced when not enough names were selling fast enough and decided they needed a "fire sale", which they have managed real well as you can see from the comments here. :rofl:

I think they were UV, but it may have been hits... I would give people the adult list, but this is not in the adult section. PM me your email if you want it.

I tried to reach the lady rep the other day, she wasn't there... it's good they put up this list. There are some good ones and you won't see names from them at that price anytime soon

Has anyone received their name yet as a result of the firesale?

I ordered on Thursday, received a confirmation e-mail saying I would receive instructions in 48 hours...and have not. I have no choice but to be patient, but am starting to get a little concerned...I have rationalized it as they are having 1000's of sales in the last few days and are backed up. I hope I'm right.

Run A whois on the domains .I ordered 2 by phone got 1 confirmation..ran a whois on the other and saw there was a typo in my email address..called tech support and got it fixed..and yes I changed the password
