Does anybody have some tips about buying domains from other people?

don't get ripped off, buy from reputable members with a history on the forum and plenty of iTrader

Better buy decent domain names instead of registering meaning less domain names. And as all we know all decent names are already registered either by end users or domainers.

You must negotiate the price while buying domains.
