CalifornianRealtor(s).com

I would appreciate your opinions. Have they got a resale value?

Realty = No trademark probs (dictionary word)

Let's leave the realtor beside. Californian might be not as perfect as California, but could you suggest a few hard numbers?

RJ - there is no trademark issue here. Realtor is a word, not a brand, unless you are talking about realtor.com.

Anyhoo - the domains arent great

Sorry doberry, but Realtor is most definately still a trademark in the United States. Only members of the NAR can be called 'Realtors', not just any Real Estate Agent or Broker.

This is undergoing a dispute, and hopefully will be deemed generic soon. But for now it still might be trouble.

As a dictionary term, one who sells real estate is a realtor. Just becase its a TM, that doensn't mean if your not NAR you're not a realtor.

Thats like saying if someone owns the trademak doctor, you can't call yourself a doctor, even if you have a doctorine.

RJ. Think logically, not abstractly

Don't talk out of your bum, do your research. This is nothing like the word 'doctor'

Good deal, then you should have a wealth of legal material to refer to. :D

I respectfully disagree. Check your dictionary,

http://www.m-w.com/

and watch out for the cease & desist letters if you're not a NAR member.

There is a pending case to deactivate the trademark, but until then, it's a trademark and has been since the 50's when Charles Chadbourn made up the word.

and actually, realtor is a service mark, not a tm. lol!!!!
RJ, you do make sense, thanks for debate. Law is one big debate, thats why there are judges. So we are both right, it could end up in court.!!l
