can't seem to find whois info anywhere for a certain domain:

most whois say "the domain does not exist"
but snapnames had this info:

Registrar WILD WEST DOMAINS, INC.
WhoisServer whois.wildwestdomains.com
ReferralURL http://www.wildwestdomains.com
UpdatedDate 2002-11-18
NameServers DNS14.REGISTER.COM
DNS13.REGISTER.COM

probably. although that is what it looked like when i got a register.com name through a drop a while back. i can't remember exactly...

maybe due to godaddy's service that can hide registrant information.

yes i was thinking that also. it would be a real pain to chase drops if others started getting in on it and hiding the expire info.

nevermind. i was able to get ahold of the info by digging around.

looks like he just renewed it.

yes, they should hide only the contact information.
But leave the created, modified, expires date.
