can anyone tell me how to make $ from ebooks?

i am very new to everything people talk about here in this forum, such as ebook. i've heard people talking about ebook for making money, but i have no clue how things work. can any of you give me a good answer?? thanks in advance!

"E" is electronic. There is mail (like paper letters) and also e-mail.
There are books (paper) and also e-books.

You could write a book, and then sell it to people (the computer file), or help other people sell the e-books that they wrote.
