I had few domains like that as well.
Sold domains and new owner started site, but,
still got some random traffic for few more months.

I guessed that it may have something to do with visitors
locations. Google has tons of server all over the world
and some of them won't refresh your changed domains
until someone access it?

At least is is totally non-optimized.

I now see how I too get a little on pages no longer parked since the searchnut url is listed in the SE.

That's truly interesting. WTF is SearchNut and how can I find where these links are?

searchnut is the url forwarding link for parked.com

the traffic will slowly die away in your parked account

Some search engine or some pages can link to http://www.searchnut.com/?domain=steamcondenser.com

You are right Denny and very smart in knowing that.

How did you realize that was happening?

Can't believe how I spent so long trying to figure out how I still get a bit of traffic to names no longer parked but you knew how.

P.S. The fact dnforum.com resolves at searchnut seems to mean it was once parked there but when and why?

Every parking I know have such URL, some places need to add it to account (Namedrove, Parked) some does not as long as you have an account code
http://searchportal.information.com/?domainname=fake-domain.com
http://ndparking.com/fake-domain.com
http://www.cnomy.com/?dn=fake-domain.com

As long as you make extra money from it I do not see anything wrong with it

How did you realize that was happening?
Many times before have had same "problem" and found it out after checking referers etc.

Now that's nice to see, a thread where Acro and Denny agree

Seriously - both knowledgable, intelligent guys and more similar that either of you would give credit for....

Did someone say 'off-topic'...?

PS. The bust-ups were legendary too ;)
