Yes you can ;)

Of course, a lot of it depends on the category/industry you choose to focus on and the quality of your site.

I've read good reviews about idishnetwork I'll start with them, I'm not sure many flyers I should advertise, I'm going to start with offline marketing - door-to-door flyers, how effective do you think this is? I'm wanting to start with 1000 flyers every 2 weeks.

Yes, you can easily make it, especially by focusing on high payout programs in gambling, web hosting or online pharmacy to name only a few.

I agree with everyone. There's definitely money to be made. It took a bit of time and effort, but affiliate programs combined with parking, has really started to work out for me.

There are plenty of sites with reviews on the different programs. You may also want to pick up an issue of Revenue at the magazine shop.

And as xmas suggested, Gambling programs are quite profitable...

Many of our affiliates make over $10,000 month. It takes lots of work and talent to make that much but it can definately be done. Our affiliate forum has lots of tips and the blog is a must read for getting the latest affiliate news.

We also have an affiliate program that offers bith Dish Network and DirectTv in the same program.
They offer the highest payouts I've seen. They will be adding Comcast High speed access in 2 weeks also.
See the Revenue Allies review on my site.

Additionally for those of you with electronics, computer and software traffic, we just launched a new program that pays the highest in that space too.

Plus they have a huge contest and are giving away
a 7 day trip for 2 to the CAYMAN ISLANDS. See TheNerds on my site below.

Would love to help the guys over here at DN forum earn more revenue.

FYI, for all of you that PM me affiliate marketing questions. I apologize. I'm not getting email notification of new replies or PMs. I'll try to check in here more often.

Hmmm... trying to think if some. We have over 50 affiliate programs so I can't keep all the merketing materials for all of them in my head.

By white label I assume you mean a ready to go site you can just quickly upload to one of your domains? Those don't work very well due to duplicate content penalites form search engines.

We have the IPC (Instant Page Creator) though that lets you put up a compete store filled with 1,000 of products instantly, in your own frame work or site template, so you can try to make the content unique. It's so fast and easy my granma could do it.

Check it out here and see if that will suit your needs.

See the demo for the National Geographic Store to see how it works.

If you have specific markets or product categories you are interested in a white label site, let me know and I can check for you or may know of one. I know about lots of programs that aren't my clients so can probably point you in the right direction.

It is like a template with content or a complete site that you can change the name and certain other things.

I haven't had much success with mainstream affiliate programs. Adult affiliate programs are much better money makers. If you want info about good adult programs, PM me.

Good topic, I've been kind of wondering what the general experience is with affiliate programs (non-porn/gambling ones though).

How much could someone perhaps make with maybe 250,000 pageviews per month on a forum site?

I haven't had much success with the few affiliate programs I've tried so far, but haven't really pushed them much.

It rely depends on how good your site is. Your content should be closely tied to the products you are pushing, and the site should have some degree of legitimacy in the area. I would think that "reviews" types of articles or sites may tend to fair well...

You also need to ensure the programs are in tune with your target audience. Seems a lot are US-centric. For me, nothing sucks more than finding out a great deal will costs $50 bucks more for shipping, if I live outside the US.

People do make full time incomes from affiliate programs, but many people just starting out give up soon because they don't make money fast enough. There are lots of materials out there, ebooks, etc. by people who make big money with affiliate programs. I would seek out experienced people and learn from them. Plus a lot of what you learn is from trial and error, learning firsthand what works and what doesn't work. It also helps if you focus on a subject area you have interest in, then for example build a website with content on that subject and promote related products and services. I also do a couple of networking marketing (mlm) businesses, because you can build a downline of people that help you earn more income, plus mlm content sites attract high paying ppc ads.
