i seems to have difficulties reaching dropwizard by email since about 9 or 10 days. Anyone having same difficulties?

IF you read our last mass email two weeks ago I told everyone we were having trouble with the email due to the incredible amount of spam we're getting. If your email is not clearly marked dropwizard in the subject line it probably got deleted.

I respond to ALL email within 24 hours. Unless I am out of town.

Sorry to all but it's problem all businesses are having nowadays.

Gordon: It might be wise to put up a FORM on DropWizard.com to allow folks to send messages to an email address which is hidden (i.e. only you know it). Then, you can be sure that all email in that account is spam-free and relevant to your business.

That's a good idea George. I never thought of it.

Oh well growing pains and all. I'll have it implimented as soon as we possibly can.

or just implement a spam filter. i used to get about 6k virus/spam
emails per day on a few of my domains. after i implemented a
server based spam filter, it went to about 10/day max.

good luck gordon!

I also eliminated a serious Spam problem by getting I Hate Spam (works at peak efficiency only with MS Outlook though). One of my email addresses had become unusuable because of the amount of Spam it was getting. This $20 program has virtually wiped it out and allowed me to reclaim my address.

Actually a good part of the problem IS the isp's we use and their attempts to set up spam filters. We've had our own internal emails disappear. The other part of the problem is the other 1000 sites we own and the old email addy's there. It's not unusual to open my email in the morning and get hit with 500 spam/garbage/whatever emails. Not to mention the other 500 or so that arrive during the day.

We want our customers to be able to contact us so:

Use that Dropwizard subject line..........and...........

if you don't hear back within 24 hours it's probably lost. Try again.

And I will work on implementing George's suggestion.

I use to turn on some of the domain emails I purchase. However, it started to drown me in spam.

So, now. I never activate the email function until I start to use that domain for site.

Similar case here with Actnow. :)
