I thought was a bargain at $10k (afternic) compared to recent one word domain sales...

Anybody else think it's cheap ?

I have my doubts about what you would do with the domain.

Sell it to the Queen maybe?

I would not buy it at that price myself, and that's not just the "republican Australian" in me talking either.

I guess if i was English it would have more relevance.

Boy.com sold for just $45K

Fair enough but there are still ridiculous sales going around at the moment on dnjournal........

I was thinking more along the lines of a parcel/delivery company ?

Not bad, you never know with these names. At least look at it like this, minimal investment, potential grand return. Should there not be one you at least wont lose anything. :)

How so?

I was thinking more along the lines of horse carriage services...

IMO this is one of those names which is too generic and has a low commercial appeal.

Exactly.

Same with "Boy.com", boys don't like to be called "boy", which pretty much just leaves pedophiles as the end users...

$10k for Carriage.com? expensive or decent price IMO because as someone said earlier, I still cant figure out development base for it..

Or even niche for it.. maybe farm carriages? lol that too would have to have S at the end of the keyword :p

I've got it!

The AMISH are your market! They are the #1 buyers/sellers of carriages!

Of course, they don't use electricity, so it will be interesting to "see" them build a website...

Ah right, that's why you see some value in this domain.

Here in Australia we call them "couriers".

Carriage.com?

I reckon a courier/delivery service could do a lot with a name like this...

Or, maybe, a travel agency?...Adventure business?

It could be a 'call to action' kind of name for any business that implies 'movement' of goods, or people...

Same with "Boy.com", boys don't like to be called "boy", which pretty much just leaves pedophiles as the end users...

Really?

Well, there's the global Bank/of/Yokahama....which uses its acronym, 'boy', with a .jp, at the moment...:)

...and, tbh, I don't think it takes much imagination to see several (NON porn) business models for Boy.com. ....and, it'd be a breeze to brand & market, imo.

Maybe boys don`t want to be called boy but their mothers still do and I can see an online shopping store for boys clothes.

Or are u telling me their mothers will be reluctant to visit a site called boy.com based on your assumption?

Afterall....I thought that not everybody thinks that GODADDY is a porn site... or they still do????
