Just a guess, but probably TM'd so I'm not sure if it can be used in its natural criteria without some legal problems.. otherwise the TM owner might find it handy if they wanted to do business in that country.
I can suggest testing its traffic for a period of time.

No $ attached to my comments, just input.

TM on "cash advance"?

This is a generic term and a very good one at that, however it isn't German. Can't say the value is too high in that case.

i didnt have alot of time, but i bothered to go to cashadvance.com and they've been around since '97 .... Just a guess, but i can imagine using cashadvance.de in the exact same business as say a "cash advance" business might bring about little problems in the legal sorta way. But then again, I've see google loose some legal fights for this sorta thing. they of course were typos they lost to or was it a similar name, cant remember.

Anyhow, its a great term.. even if it cant be used to mimick and exhisting business there are uses... hopefully usefull to .de

I read an article on Domain Name Journal about .de domains and there shouldn't be any TM issues. They don't recognize TM's for generic or descriptive terms. Germans are very fluent in english and use english terms but they are worth less than the german equivalent. For example...business.de sold for 55,000 Euros (a paltry sum compared to the business.com sale but significant no less). I have the domain parked at sedo and am mulling over putting it in the english or german language. Interesting though that I own ticketonline.org and the .com and .de extensions resolve to ticketonline.de (the largest ticket agency in Europe) I had an enquiry about it from a gentleman in Germany a while back. I think he may have been involved with the company in Germany but not sure. No sale yet though. Anyway thanks for the input.
