10,000 overture w/ out extension isn't bad.. undeveloped I'm not sure the domain is worth a whole lot, unless you found the right reseller or end user to develope it.

I think the domain alone is high $xx maybe low $xxx

Don't know about traffic since I have it parked and don't measure it yet. I tend to disagree with both appraisals given! I think they're off by one 0. I think the domain is worth high xxx to low x,xxx Anybody else agree with me?

I am pretty new to DNForum. Don't get me wrong, I like reading post here. But it occurs to me that people here purposely appraise domains at very low price. I don't know if it could be because those 'appraisers' are domain buyers instead of a sellers. I bet you that they know the value of the domain but just don't appraise it correctly. For domain appraisals, it seems like people from afternic are least bias.

I strongly believe that CelebrityMovie.com is a good name. Not great, but decent and you should be able to sell it for high $XXX at least if it has not been developed. If it is developed, it will really depend on the traffic that it has built up and who the buyer is.

for every sale there are hundreds more sold on these boards for $5-$25, and on top of that thousands that will not be renewed ... i've had my share of four figure sales, but the majority are low amounts. and it really depends on trying to sell a domain to resellers or endusers.

Ok, everybody will know that my response and opinion about the appraisal will be biased since I'm the domain owner. Also since I'm a newbie. But I'm no newbie to the internet and I made hundreds of thousands of dollars online and still am and I'm only in my early 20s. varchar and Ed30 - I completely agree with your responses. I think FP1, Wicks, and seeker should have done more research before claiming that the name is worth $100 or less OR they're purposely depleting the appraisal. "Celebrity Movie" is a great keyword combination and goes well together just like "Celebrity Photo" does. To verify check the google sandbox https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordSandbox and type the keyword "celebrity"

And by the way more people search for "celebrity movie" than "celebrity movies" How many people? Nearly one million every month search for that exact keyword combination: "celebrity movie" And those numbers matter when you're developing a site and brand recognition and want a name that your visitors will remember and that well describes the content of the site. (Not to mention that search engines love exact keyword combinations in the domain name)


Also celebritymoviearchive.com wouldn't be top 3,000 most visited site on the internet according to alexa.com if people weren't obsessed with celebrity movies. Especially Americans are obsessed with celebrities and will spend hefty amounts to see them exposed or to get an inside look into their off camera lifestyle. Hence the whole Paris Hilton Tape incident. What was all the fuss about? Umm about a celebrity movie. Furthermore search in google for "celebrity movie" and you will get 36 million page results. Search for it in quotes and you will get 3 million results.

Afternic.com appraised the name CMV: $ 7,400.00 PMV: $ 22,600.00 http://www.afternic.com/appraisal.php?id=11588 I'm not saying it's worth that much, but come on under $100 by DNF Addicts, give me a break. But regardless, I asked for an appraisal and I'm thankful for the ones you provided even though the first 3 are off by a scale of 10.

It's a great keyword domain. I agree with Afternic's end user appraisal. However, I would definitely except a lower offer. How much lower I don't know. If you tryed to sell it to a reseller on the forum then those lower figures might be more what you would expect to get. It sounds like you are atleast looking for something in the $X,XXX-$XX,XXX range and the only way to do that is to find the right end user. I wouldn't count out the possibilty at all and I wish you the best of luck with the sale.
