had a 700$ offer through this or another board, along with several other offers.

So I guess the minimum value shall be 700$ since that is what a reseller is willing to pay for it...

To prevent further offers: I AM NOT LOOKING FOR SELLING THAT DOMAIN :) (at least not to a reseller ;)).

thx for all the input :)

It's obviously worth more than $539, since you outbid me for it up to that amount. I would say with some active promotion you should be able to at least double if not triple that amount for low $xxxx to an end user or developer.

so that had been you that raised my winning bid that much? ;)

As for selling: This is one of the few domains I have I kinda am in love with ;) so I will have a hard time selling that one ;) I prefer keeping it for some while - till either I find the time to develop it or the .info tl will give some real good revenues :)

best regards, pyro :)

Well, actually, I dropped out at somewhere around $200 on chatroom.info. There was at least one more bidder who took you that high. At the same time I was going more for diving.info as an avid diver, but it got to 4 figures after I stopped around $750. The only one I actually got on my list was supervisors.info for $61.

chatroom.info is a keeper. If you develop or ever intend to this one has long term potential.

chat-rooms.com sold for around $1200 with a basic site getting SE traffic.

chatroom.info is better IMO

It should be in the thousand to the end user.

mark, you did really go up a lot for diving.info (I planned on snapping this one as well but when I saw the price 1 day before the auction ended I already knew, this one would not be possible for me ;)). It´s hard to auction vs. dj.... , I never yet won an auction where he really seemed interested in ;)

thx to all for the input :)

best regards, pyro

I was in on the diving.info bidding. I strongly suspect that the bidder thought he was entering a PROXY bid. I can't think of any other reason that a bidder would go up 500% long before the end of auction, and far beyond what a reseller would pay for a name of that quality.

actually he entered a proxy-bid... SN does work with proxy bids. The reason why the auction broke the 1k mark was for there were 2 guys obviously really interested in the domain.... :)

I did really want it but had to set a limit on myself of about $750, but eventually ended at $802. I think it went for $1052. Although it may have gone higher yet if anyone else had stayed in the game. I may have gone higher, but was afraid I would maybe win a couple others and not be able to afford all at the same time. I probably wouldn't have sold it, but would have developed that one, so it's a big chunk of money to sit waiting for me to have time to do so. Some day I know I'll regret it.
