It rather depends on your volume and what you are trying to transfer. If its dot com its useful to remember the registry fee is about $5. If you go less than than the $6.49 you can get at directi.com, then there is likely to be a snag. Not least that the your registrar could go to the wall!

I believe www.theflypaper.com has a special right now, $5.50 transfers.

Tippy, thanks for the tip. That is the best price for renewals around right now. Of course that could change by tomorrow. g

This is what I have found so far: The two main registrars to keep in mind for those of us that hold hundreds of domains are as follows:

Register Fly for Renewals @ $5.50 per domain
Go Daddy for New Regs @ $3.24 per domain

If anyone else finds more data. Share it here. Maybe we should start a: "Registrar of the Day" forum/folder and just have the DN Forum members update it daily. It's kind of a pain to have to search for something that someone posted days ago in who knows what forum under who knows what topic. You know what I mean?

Well, the GoDaddy promotion is over.

Now you actually have to buy one of their "other" products to get a $3.99 price, but then it's not really $3.99 because you are paying for the "other" product as well. The USA 1 promo code, no longer works!!!!

It was a great sale while it lasted.
