chicago.us

What's it worth? Would it bring more:

1. Auctioned on Ebay?
2. Afternic?
3. Sedo?

Any opinions are appreciated.

If you're looking for a quick sale go with Ebay. You should end up with fair market value (at least at the reseller level). Afternic and Sedo could take a long time to get a decent offer, but you have more bargaining power and control over what it does sell for.

yeah, you should get a good 4 figures for it.. maybe even a low 5.

You could put it up on ebay and see what happens..add a reserve incase it ends below what you want..

then stick it on sedo or afternic if the auction doesnt end up where you want it.

I would pay 1K for it, but I can see it going for 4-6K.

Regards,
Stuart.

Low $$,$$$ (around 10k - 12k)

...and Ebay would be your best solution.

Ebay is NEVER your best solution, especially for .us names which dont have a huge following right now (.com is the ONLY extension worth trying to sell on Ebay).

I would try SEDO first, they know how to get good offers on newer TLD's and CCTLD's.

Good luck

This isn't your average name listed on Ebay, so it will set itself apart from the other names on Ebay. If listed, I would guess that the name would fetch $$,$$$ on Ebay over a 5 day auction.

I just noticed at the bottom of the thread under "similar threads". This domain has been appraised three times before. Once back in 2002. Interesting read, appraisals seem to have gone up a considerable amount.

I agree with www's opinion about the lowball appraisals. I think this is a pure blue chip name, easy $xx,xxx and approaching low $xxx, xxx ...

Such huge development opportunities.... :) With such a brandable domain, why settle for for $xx,xxx for the domain only, when if developped it could easily pull in serious ad dollars.

All IMHO!

Great name...

IMO this is not a high XX,XXX or XXX,XXX domain. Four figures to low five figures.

I agree, If you get an offer in the proximity of $6k-$9k take it.
