I'm still not sure why exactly people are so "against" these domain holdings.
100% agreed it's a tragedy. 100% it's not the "moral" thing to do. Then again neither is holding typos of TM names or other disasters which MANY members do. Yes it's sad and a shame and useless waste of human life and young talent however it's not the only instance where someone has registered a major event name to make a few dollars nor will it be the last. It's not like it's one person holding all related names either. To be honest when ismailax.com is seeing 10,000 plus uniques per hour does one really blame the person considering every "domainer" or domain portfolio owner as the politicaly correct term is in essence in one way or another making money off of the same ideals but just in different manner. It may be untasteful which I agree but it's also instant profit which isn't technically a bad business move.
It's sad but it's not going to change the profit behind this for those who are actually making the money.
I'm not interested nor do I want any names like this.
I'm just making a point.
Seeing so many threads about this one incident has me thinking and a self inventory has also made me realize that including myself and some of my holdings the word "moral" can be construed and stretched to suit anyone's need for profit. I believe a great many of us are guilty of this.
