Just sorted out some issues with this domain, still getting used to things like alexa being out of date with contact info and throwing me into a spazzy panic. Whois seems to be in order now though....

Right nuff babbling.....any ideas with this one, comments ? Turns out it was forwarded to a large german personality site before for some reason, not sure of the implications of this

Thanks

Nick

well,
when I have got the acquired god status to use this forum effectively I will come back. In the meantime I really don't have the time to waste on cheap sarcasm and wit which would tax the deepest darkest intellect.....maybe another time guys its time I left and stopped wasting your bandwidth with my newbie status.

All the best

Nick

P.S. just wanted to add that I am deeply greatful to the one person who did take the time to help me out in the time I have been here....you know who you are

The domain is generally worth $xx, possibly low $xxx undeveloped. Also, you may hit on copyright issues.

I agree our replies on this thread are not proffesional. But you must also see to get an offer of £350 for a domain that really is not worth that, you must understand why we say 'Take the money!'.

Can you see that?

you could get major legal issues by the domain, so - not considering that I would not even reg such a name cause of that reason - if someone is giving you about 500€ for that domain, that is what I would call being lucky :)

I guess that is what most posters above meant to say...

best regards and good luck with your sale,
pyro

If you want an appraisal, then ok.

Obviously the term "christina aguilera" is very good. However the dash lowers the value. So does the .info. And the combination of the term and the .info extension don't fit too well in my opinion. I would be surprised if it got any traffic. So ignoring legal issues, it might be worth $40.

But the name is probably a liability due to TM issues.

This is why I thought it was appropriate to tell you to accept the offer.

I also don't see why you're getting agitated. You should be happy that you're about to make money out of a poor domain. And I don't think anyone was being sarcastic - we were only giving you good advice.

Hello Nick,

I don't know if you are still around, but if you are, I think £350 is a very good price for a domain like that. This works out at almost US$700.

If you are a hard-nosed negotiator and think that the person will pay more, by all means, try for more, but you could lose a nice deal if they turn away.

Many people here give an appraisal for "reseller" value rather than an "end-user" value. "reseller" value roughly equates to what they would be prepared to pay for the domain with the aim of selling it on for a higher profit or maybe developing it for affiiliate income etc.

As far as legal problems due to trademarks are concerned, it is unlikely that someone would initiate legal proceedings in preference to paying £350 or even £600 or so. If you wanted to hold out for £750 plus, someone with a TM might be prepared to take action rather than pay a high asking price.
