Great name! But I can't think of any uses for it right now. Must be something related to educational purposes or perhaps a site for people with physical disabilities. I am not sure, but either way it's a very generic and strong .COM . $xx,xxx

Hey man,

Nice domain again! I'd agree on the x,xxx to xx,xxx or higher (much) if you develop a tiny bit then pitch directly to end users in the bio-tech community.

You know me, always trying to get you to develop some of those properties of yours.

I guess you could estimate it at 10-15 years parking rev if you like to, which comes up to a nice range ;)

Well at first glance its nice but... when a word is targeted you have to see how targeted .

Ovt/w extension 0
Ovt/without 4412
Compete.com while not an exact science show 291 visitors a month currently or 10 a day. Had a spike in late 06 earliy 07 ( probably news related ) but that quickly adjusted.

All things considered unless I was a scientist or worked in the dna field its a $X,XXX name resale. Ad bids are fair .59-.85 but when typed into google I see no ads. So yes $XXXX low to mid reseller, imo.

I have the perfect end user for you:
Celera Genomics (celera.com)

They are the one of the most famous firms in the genomics/molecular biology sector, they are the ones(besides the Human Genome Project) who sequenced the human genome in 2000. And the best of all - they do not own a generic .com ;)

JP, you can't possibly tell me that a domain earning 6$ a day, dictionary word, is worth low to mid XXXX$?

thanks for the kind words URLtrader,
I love it when people actually put their money where their mouth is.

Fortunately, I already have a higher offer on the table!

I'm looking to get a nice feel for the domain before I make any decisions to sell. This is by far my most profitable domain to date.

150 uniques / 6$ per day

I have to stick by my opinion unless your rev. is maintained for months or the seller( who sold to you ) can show several months worth . I am sorry you dont like my appraisal but I am confused as to how it is seeing 150/$6 day . Not saying I am in the right just leary of stats that dont match ovt. All the best, if it holds you have a $20-$30K name .

I love it when people actually put their money where their mouth is.

That happens when they actually have the money and not before.

very specific, science related domain. however, that also limits it's potential, unless you find other concepts to market the domain.

perhaps as a brand for a clothing line, cosmetics or some other "consumable" type product.
i think this is where the real money would be, instead of going with the obvious.

value = i have no idea ....because i have a domain which is closely related to yours.

Good Luck with it!

Sedo's own tracker shows nearly 2k uniques monthly - Compete.com is a biased inferential metric and should almost never be trusted as reflecting actual traffic.

In terms of keyword bidding, if you're north of the border ads might not be showing up due to geo-targeting in Adwords. Additionally, there are highly valued related keywords that can easily proxy for the potential market in this domain. Either way, this domain has huge commercial and research potential.

And as we all know sedo tracker is always legit traffic. Listen i could barely spell chromosome when I tried the first time, ovt shows 4000 searches a month YET 150 people a day type it in ? Either alot of really talented spellers who like chromosome research visit 150 times a day or I am wrong.

Hey, I'm just bringing another perspective - there's not reason to get upset here, chill. Only by analyzing raw log files can be determine actual, genuine traffic but I still contend that Compete.com is a highly inaccurate metric at this point in time. Also, keep in mind the domain is showing up on the first page on Google's SERPs for the exact term which is certainly driving some traffic above-and-beyond pure typeins - while this traffic is less potent and not guaranteed, it is still a high quality link that can be maintained and increased with work. My point is: the domain is in a growing biotech industry, has great SEO potential and should be valued well beyond pure PPC numbers.
