I randomly checked a few of mine, and they seem to be back to normal. Man, what a scare huh?

not for me, pretty much all of mine show up as available still...

Still waiting to hear form cira...

I think we all should get a extra year added to all of our domain registrations! Yeah right...

Well I heard nothing from cira but I did email namespro and got a response back right away saying:
Thank you for your inquiry.

Currently, CIRA is having an issue with their WHOIS data. A portion of dot-ca domains are listed as "available" even though they are actually already registered.

The following was a notice we have received from CIRA at 09:22 EST:

===============================
WHOIS Synchronization issue

Our technical staff is investigating the cause of the WHOIS synchronization issues. We are working to restore service within the hour.

I will send an update when the cause is identified.

Haven't checked all but a sampling shows mine are back to normal.

I think they do since ppl pay 10 + million a year for annual registration fee for the 1.2+ million domains registered.

Must be an expensive business to run otherwise they would probably do a commercial or two about .ca.

It's a shame, for all the revenue brought in, the promotional aspect of their plan had to fall off the back of the truck.
