I have 3 domains that could very well be marketed for the Los Angeles County market. This first one could be used as a city guide type of site with a series of sub-domains such as:

CITYLIFE.LA
- longbeach.citylife.la
- hollywood.citylife.la
- westla.citylife.la
- cerritos.citylife.la
...and so on with any or all cities in Los Angeles county

The same style could be used for this next one with a series of sub-domains for each club name such as:

CLUBSCENE.LA
- keyclub.clubscene.la
- viperroom.clubscene.la
- roxy.clubscene.la
- whiskey.clubscene.la

The last one is just a simple dictionary word that can obviously be used directly or it could also use the sub-domain style like:

PRINTING.LA
- custom.printing.la
- businesscard.printing.la
- poster.printing.la
- letterhead.printing.la
- sticker.printing.la
...etc, etc.

Let me know what you guys think of these. Thanks!

why would someone use .la and not .com?? I don't see many people typing in the .la extension, so not sure if there is any value behind these names. Do people (outside of the domain industry) even know that there is a .la?? I bet people that live in la have no idea that this extension exists

Yeah, I know, but sometimes you see random domain extensions pop up for high-dollar sales just because of the word content. I've seen .LV names go based on possible marketability for Las Vegas. It's a crap shoot, but if someone weren't able to get a .com extension, these could be viable options.

I live in .la and would have a hard time not typing in .com accidentally

In theory...if some advertiser saw the potential in putting up BIG money to brand .la all over the place, than maybe it could work...but I'd think it would be a long shot. Though stranger things have happened...
