I've been getting some decent targeted (financial/loan) traffic on my typo .co's. It's met my expectations so far.

Of course dreams of hitting it big with .co are just that.

350 grand for o.co doesn't seem to make much business sense to me from Overstock's perspective. Where's the ROI?

Why would you revealing the name matter?

Because for all i know the bidder could be watching this thread and im thinking about counter hitting him pluss, if i post the name hear some people may say its crap then when i counter hit he may cancel his offer. I might post after i send it to auction and if you do not believe its mine you can check the whois.

:yes:Right, at 8 .co's I think I have enough now. One of the domains is absolutely a defensive registration (private for the moment), two are three word domains with the middle word being 'and' with the other two words being alternated - these are spcifically for commercial development to hit a specific though very large market. The remaining five are:

6mm.co - will use to display my 6mm wargaming figures on and use as a trading forum (got to have some relaxation time)

Fuschia.co / Fuschias.co - now being developed as a site dedicated to Fuschias.

WasteRecycling.co - planned for development as a site about waste recycling of course, though I may tout it around the industry a bit to see what the reaction is.

WaterPower.co - Very speculative investment, could make a great site but will most probably just add it to the retirement fund in the hope that one of the companies involved in this area of research into producing power via commercial hydrolosis makes a break through!?

Has this investment been a waste of money? Who knows. But considering it is only a couple of hundred dollars it is hardly a major investment. Besides I want to develope most of them (in English though).

I seriously considered Planta.co and Plantas.co but decided against them (watch me rue this in the future, both were available but have gone now).

Akhil try selling it to VDO.com since they are a company they may very well be interested.

There is also a few more companies that use the VDO branding.

So is anyone getting traffic on good keyword domains yet? I am wondering if it is worth registering .co
keyword names. I registered a few but no traffic yet..

Are there *any* known ccTLDs that offer privacy WHOIS?

Yes .ca by default.

And here are my .co domains:

Yep not a single one. :)

.Ca's do, but it's all or nothing (unless there's a hack I don't know).

You either have it ON for all your domains or you have it OFF for all your domains

You can use multiple registrant id's if you want though.

Has anyone had any luck with the 3 letter names? I was able to get some, and thought about contacting companies that have the extensions in .com
Has anyone actually sold a .co name to a .com company with the same name?

Why's that?

Think for a second: they have the .com - if you're offering them the .co it's pointless. Should .com owners register the .co for important domains? Sure, and some do.

I think if you target any companies, it should be those that can't get their company name.com because of either cost or because it's already developed. Give them an affordable alternative.
