I have a few one word shopping .co.za domains
but I have no idea what they are worth.

Does anyone have any idea what the price of .co.za domains is relative to the .com price?

e.g.
free.com Vs free.co.za
shopping.com Vs shopping.co.za

free.com = $1,000,000 free.co.za = $100
shopping.com = $800,000 shopping.co.za = $80
averagedomain.com = $500 averagedomain.co.za = $5

just mho

So you think shopping.co.za is worth $80???
No way.
although .com will be much more expensive, such keywords described as shopping and free can go for at *least* $XXXXX
South Africa has a thriving market, and once it gets its crime rate down, it will be packed wih tourists.
One of the most beautiful countries i have ever seeen, and certainly the most advanced in Africa.

If it was a smaller less developed African country extention then $80 might be a good estimate, but for a good keyword domain of a large fairly developed country like South Africa the estimate should be a lot higher.

you guys are right, after researching the ccld I could obviously see these being worth much more ... but how much I have no idea, I have never seen one advertised or sold? do you guys own any or are there registration restrictions?

I have them registered with SA details but I'm not sure of the restrictions - I'll look into it.
I have to agree with seeker - the domains are going to be wroth a lot when SA drops its crime rates down and picks up a better world perception.

I Guess they are for the investor with a 3-5 year capital investment outlook then

i own a few co.za including 18.co.za

its South African but no restrictions. Anyone can own a co.za domain.

Sorry, nothing to do with south africa but I am amazed the above names dropped as I sold them all for more than those prices last year apart from banking.co.in which was close - also sold DVD .co.in
