There is not enough ppc money in either camp to hire a hitman to whack the messenger
I see people with .com, .net, and everything else *****ing about 1 cent to 10 cent payout on parking.

I'll take what I make PPC any day parking .mobi. Most of all, I'll take the Adsense payout on a developed site all day long.

Do people actually renew them?

All I get is Chinese Spam telling me that some god damned awful combination of characters is available in dot Mobi. Of course the email is in English, so the genre of sucker they are seeking out is very obvious.

Yo OP....
Another batch of those stinkey ;) "$10" IDNs still LIVE at auction...
I predict auction bids will keep on rising....still a good 48 hours to go.
徳島市.com, $262
武蔵野市.com $262
上尾市.com, $262
草加市.com,$242
小金井.com $100
伊勢崎.com $120
松島.com $182

Geez, these "worthless" ;) idns are all still at auction and prices going up, up , up .

This one 徳島市.com is already at $400...and climbing.

I'll take what I make PPC any day parking .com, PLUS I'll take the resale potential over holding onto a worthless extension that will likely never sell.

Do people actually renew them?

They do, instead of domainers cutting their losses, they keep renewing them with the hope .mobi will take off... What they dont realize is their throwing good money after bad.

What are you talking about?!

.
Simple, going off on tangents seeing that the thread title has been disproven...IDN market and .mobile market are stablizing.

And what is the idiot before you talking about as well?

A mere mention of my avg. PPC on .mobi parked domains doing well brings em out of the woodwork.

Plus, the masses seem to forget that over all the PPC market is down and perhaps one or two shots away from the knock out blow.

Don't see why such a flame war.

It is pretty simple.

Mobile Industry =/= .mobi

It is same as any other cctld, just that it is 2 times longer then any other crappy .bz .cc and whatever else.

The fact that I can own .medications does not make me a king of pharmacy industry. You guys are distracted. Or perhaps your mind is protecting itself, not letting you to realise .mobi failed.

I should add that it only failed for those who invest tons of money into it. Many big players just skipped .mobi from the start.

cctld's come and go, experience stays with us. :)

guys/girls, its okay to disagree... there doesn't always have to be a right or wrong.

some will make money $$$$ and some will lose some $$$ on differnet names or extensions...

Let's just hope in the long run we're all on the right road.

Though idns are obviously useless in the states, they are used here in Japan.

Im gonna put up and shut up. If anyone cannot put up evidence that idn and .mobi are useless, what you write is only based solely on your opinion and not facts.

As usual, facts are needed.

For a company to have a mobile site on the mobile carriers official menu, it costs a lot of money (usd $20,000) and A LOT of paperwork and testing. It isnt simply put up a site as a lot suspect. There are so many that I do not have the time to take ALL of the pictures. Below are some of the sample images:

Here is the main page for the Official Menu

surely it is popular with older people who cannot spell "Kagoshima" in English. They get confused with "shi" and "si". I can see how useful 郡上市.com would be for them.

It will be popular with anyone whose first language is Japanese, but the secondary market is yet to develop properly and therefore very small remote place names are not in great demand.

And don't forget Japan is now becoming a hard currency economy once again, so these kinds of names will provide an excellent hedge the impending Dollar meltdown. Such names are likely to prove a much better hedge than physical Gold.

It's funny to see how history is being rewritten:
posts on mob influence in DN biz, tax evasion, older gay gentleman marrying a poor pretty girl, older gay gentleman making threats to his critics, etc.
are quietly deleted.

I guess the moderator is clearly intelligent enough to work out the difference between fact and venomous and libelous insinuation. I would suggest that you are banned, but I guess you would just reappear in a hundred different guises.
