- Description: niche collectibles/collecting blog. I bought it as an established blog with a unique design and unique content in May this year but didn't do anything further with it until recently.
- The foundation and potential for a GREAT collectibles site is in place, you can just take it to the next level.
- Depending on where/how you look, the site is either a PR5 or PR2. Not sure why that is, maybe Google is still updating. See iWebtool (or use tool at http://www.mcdar.net/Q-Check/datatool.asp). Has some internal PR4 pages.
- Almost a 1,000 backlinks, well-indexed (790 pages in Google alone). More info: http://iwebtool.com/collectiblog.com
- Site uses WordPress and auto-updates via RSS feeds. Currently has 1,040 posts within 36 categories. Also has some original content. It is easy to suspend the RSS feeds if you want to blog your own content.
- I recently changed the theme and permalinks structure but, if required, can include the original, unique, WordPress theme that you can still see here: http://whois.domaintools.com/collectiblog.com (although it doesn't support widgets)
- Domain expires in 2008, registered at domainRIFFIC (a WWD reseller)
- 1 1/2 year old site (I've owned it since May)
- Google and Yahoo sitemaps generated and submitted for about 1,000 pages
- I have not actively promoted this site, but it still got 516 unique visitors ("uniques") in September, 776 uniques in October, and 294 uniques in November to date. - Revenue - Adsense: $4.51 since added / Amazon: unknown (no site tracking). BTW This site was never monetized well and I only added ads recently. Adsense is picking up nicely now. Also uses Cafepress and wiw2u.com, but I don't think there have been sales yet. I just added an eBay collectible shop category today - it also updates via RSS and uses the eBay affiliate program.
