Instead of WLS and instead of registers using drop pool connections it should be like the UK system - names deleted at a random time on a first come first serve basis.

Wow, that would be great... I still have quite a few .web domains from the really EARLY days

As it stands, ICANN is either going to allow more registries or they aren't. If they do, we're arguably first in line. If they don't... well... there are other actions we could take.

Even those who are calling for auctions agree that the 40 or so pending applicants from 2000 should be exempt and have their applications processed.

So I'm content to wait and do other fun things. Patience is a virtue.
