Exactly. But when it came out there were a bunch of clueless people buying them up. Every year there's some stupid country code domain that people buy up and then abandon when the next flavor of the day comes out.
The .cn names would be OK if they were actually being used in China with Chinese words, and the country didn't try to block sites for what they see as the evil western influence. It wouldn't even surprise me if the country decided to ban all foreign ownership of .cn names at some point and then there are a bunch of foolish people SOL.
Buying English names with a .cn extension is just rather foolish. But then if you disagree, hey, all the more power to you. All the people buying up .cc, .to, .ws, .web (LOL), .bz, ad etc. thought they knew what they were doing too, and now they all are wishing they'd kept their money.
