Hello all,

First post. I'm learning a lot about domains here in DNForum and thankful that there are a number of folks willing to help.

My question pertains to registering domain names with a preceding "e" or "i". Is there a consensus regarding whether or not this is a good idea? The domain names I'm looking to register are Internet and/or electronic related so I thought that this might apply but I'm wondering if this will negatively affect keyword searches.

Thank you for your time and assistance,

Drivie

For Major Premium keyword domains, yes.
For example, eToys.com was recently acquired by ToysRus
although it included other domains and customer lists.

Thanks for the response. By the context of your message I take it that you mean "yes" it's a good idea?..or rather, it can be a good idea

Thanks again,

I was at the doctor's office today and while looking through the magazines I noticed an ad for "iShares".

Drivie, :welcome: to DNForum!

Having an "i" or "e" in front of the keyword domain is just fine. It shouldn't decrease the value or reduce search volume.
